Jericho Road Ministry is a compassionate outreach initiative of Peniel Church, dedicated to supporting both our members and the broader community. We raise funds to assist newcomers to Calgary, helping them find employment and settle into their new lives. Our ministry also provides emergency financial support for those who have lost their jobs or are facing financial hardship. In collaboration with other organizations, we have been able to distribute backpacks to students in need. During the Christmas season, we encourage our congregation to donate furniture and other essential items for newcomers, which we distribute throughout the year. Additionally, we invite our members to contribute their recyclables on the first Sunday of each month to support this ministry.

This ministry is led by Henok Yemane, a nurse by profession, who is deeply dedicated to serving others both practically and spiritually. Every week, Henok not only provides practical support but also preaches the Word and visits individuals in hospitals and their homes, offering care, encouragement, and a sense of community.
