NextGen Navigators

The “NextGen Navigators” is a comprehensive support ministry for Eritrean immigrant students in Canada, focusing on high school and junior high students who face challenges adjusting to the Canadian educational system. The initiative aims to bridge academic gaps by offering tutoring in key subjects and providing cultural transition assistance. It also seeks to provide both academic and personal mentorship from Eritrean Canadian mentors, while helping students find scholarship opportunities to alleviate financial barriers to higher education. Ultimately, the program aims to empower Eritrean immigrant students to succeed academically and pursue future educational and career opportunities.

This ministry is led by Ruth, who immigrated to Calgary, Canada at a young age and overcame numerous barriers to become a successful pharmacist. Drawing from her personal experience, Ruth is passionate about helping young people navigate similar challenges and empowering them to reach their full potential. In addition, other passionate and successful young students, alongside Ruth, are actively mentoring the next generation, sharing their experiences and guiding them toward success.
